Asset Integrity Management - Software Suite RBIT360°

The RBIT360 Software suite contains a total concept to enable Asset Integrity Management for Storagetankfarms. The software-suite combines the modules RBI-Tanks, Piping and RCM-Equipment in 1 comprehensive package. The software is fully cloud-based and can be approached trough a URL in a standard web browser.

The separate modules of the suite are described below. The MOS Foundation module is an addition for Foundation calculations.

Upon request Inventure Technologies can develop client specific software (-adaptations).

RBIT Tanks


RBIT360° - RBI-Tanks is a complete and innovative softwarepackage supporting Risk Based Inspection (RBI) studies for storagetanks.

RBIT360° – RBI-Tanks contributes to the optimization of safety, reliability and profitability of storagetanks by calculations of the structural strength and by defining the inspection- and maintenance strategy. The RBI-Tanks package is based upon the most important industry standards and -guidelines (EEMUA 159, API 653, BoBo, PGS29). The fully RBI-based maintenance and inspection regime is dedicated in the software by analysing all components of the storage tank and by application of Risk Based Inspection as a methodology to determine the risk-factor and the corrosion-rate. Together these two factors determine the maximum period of safe operation of the storage tank. The software assures the calculations and the resulting conclusions and enables reporting and planning of asset management activities. Implementation and structural use of RBI-Tanks will lead to high end Asset Integrity Management that will enable the organization to operate its assets in an auditable and responsible manner.


Piping Integrity

In addition to RBI-Tanks the module RBIT360° Piping had been developed from the market requirement for a comprehensive maintenance- and inspection regime for terminal piping. This module is compliant to the most important Industry standards and guidelines (API570/571, RTOD, ASME B31.3). The Piping module is based upon the Remaining Lifetime Assessments and the classifications of pipelines deriving from API570. The results are presented in a graphical way. The results of the Pipeline studies contribute to the optimization of the safety and reliability of the pipelines. In the trending functionality of Piping, corrosion-rates are calculated from the results of wallthickness measurements. The package can be customised to client requirements for materials, corrosion loops, inspection grids and inspection activities. After definition of the required inspections, the inspection scope of a period (i.e. a year) can be reported directly at the push of a button. In this way, inspections are always in sync with the defined piping and condition monitoring locations.



The RBIT360° - RCM-Equipment module has been developed by Inventure Technologies to complete the Asset Integrity scope by providing a risk based solution to define an inspection- and maintenance regime for components like pumps, valves, mixers etc on a storagetank terminal. For these components the dominant failure mechanism is most likely not trendable and therefore need a different approach. This approach starts with an FMECA, the Failure Mode Effect and Criticality Analysis. During the implementation of the RCM-Equipment module a client specific risk-matrix will be developed and customised into the software. Application of RCM-Equipment will lead to an overview of the required preventative maintenance activities to mitigate the failure-risks of these components. The original and the remaining Risk Priority Number can be shown in a report. The activities can be clustered into work packages and can be prepared to be entered into the local Maintenance Management System.


MOS Foundation

The MOS Foundation module was developed in close co-operation between Inventure Technologies and MOS Grondmechanica. In this module, hight- and circumferential measurements of storage tanks can be entered into the system. The compliance of the outcomes can be tested against EEMUA 159 and if required API 653 and CPR 9-3. Based upon the chosen standard and the measurement results the software will generate a structured report.

Software licence

By taking a license on one or more modules of the RBIT360 suite, users can get access to the application. Per storagetank terminal one central contact person is responsible for the granting of access rights to other users in their role in the organization. The number of users per terminal within the software license is unlimited.

The agreement between the client and Inventure Technologies will be confirmed by mutual signature of the Software-license agreement and the Service Level Agreement.

Additionaly, Inventure Technologies can support the closure of an ESCROW-agreement to guarantee the availability of the data and the source code of the application notwithstanding the ability of Inventure Technologies to do so.

Software as a Service

RBIT360° is Software as a Service (SaaS) which gives the users the advantage of always having access, all over the world (provided that there is a working internet connection), to the latest version of the software.

Application of RBIT360 software in an organization does not only have impact on Inspection and Asset Management. Additonally, proper use and effective results of the RBIT360 software require a (certified) Tank- of Piping procedure written down in a handbook or methodology. Moreover trained and qualified Tankassessors and a database of tankdata that have been correctly stored are essential.
